STAB AC is a stabilized alkaline cleaner designed for milking circuit washing. The "stabilized" designation refers to formulation additives that improve foam stability and surface contact time during the cleaning cycle, extending the active contact between the cleaning solution and soil deposits on pipeline and equipment surfaces.

Standard alkaline milking system cleaners such as MS CLEAN and CLS CLEAN are effective for the majority of conventional pipeline installations with well-functioning CIP systems. STAB AC is positioned where foam stability provides additional benefit — parlor circuit geometries with low-flow zones or longer pipe runs where drainage and contact conditions differ from textbook specifications.

What "Stabilized" Means in Practice

Stabilizers in alkaline cleaning formulations serve several functions:

• Foam control: depending on the stabilizer system, either maintaining foam for increased surface contact or suppressing excessive foam that can cause pump cavitation in CIP systems
• Chelation: binding calcium and magnesium ions in hard water to prevent precipitation and scale formation during the alkaline wash cycle
• Suspension of soil: keeping removed organic particles in suspension through the wash and rinse cycle rather than allowing them to re-deposit on cleaned surfaces
• Wetting agent activity: reducing surface tension of the cleaning solution for better penetration into soil deposits

Use in a Two-Stage Cleaning Protocol

Like all alkaline milking system cleaners, STAB AC is paired with an acid descaling cycle for complete circuit hygiene. The complementary acid product for the STAB range is STAB AD, an acidic stabilized descaler for mineral deposit and milkstone removal. Alternating alkaline and acid cycles prevents both organic and mineral accumulation in the milking circuit.
