Milking System Cleaners for Uzbekistan: Product Guide and Sourcing

·2 min read

Milking Circuit Cleaning in Uzbek Commercial Dairy

Commercial dairy farms in Uzbekistan operating milking parlors or in-barn milking systems must clean the milking circuit after every milking. This is not optional hygiene practice — it is required to prevent bacterial contamination in the milk supply and to meet the quality specifications of dairy processors purchasing the milk.

The fundamental requirement is the same as on any commercial dairy farm anywhere in the world: an alkaline cleaning cycle after every milking, paired with an acid descaling cycle every 1–3 days. What changes in the Uzbek context is the water chemistry challenge.

Hard Water: The Key Variable in Uzbek Conditions

Water in many Uzbek agricultural regions — particularly in the Ferghana Valley, Samarkand, and Bukhara — is notably hard. High calcium and magnesium content from the underlying geology means that water used for CIP cleaning carries significant mineral load. These minerals:

  • Precipitate from solution when heated, depositing on milking circuit surfaces as scale
  • React with residual milk protein to form milkstone — a mixed mineral-protein deposit that is harder to remove than either component alone and that harbors bacteria in micro-pores

Implication: Uzbek dairy farms need to descale more frequently than farms in soft-water regions. A farm in a high-hardness area should plan for daily or every-other-day acid descaling rather than the standard every-3-days protocol. Regular inspection of circuit surfaces for milkstone buildup (visible as yellow-brown discoloration on cleaned surfaces) is the key monitoring tool.

Product Selection for Uzbek Conditions

Alkaline cleaning (after every milking):

  • MS CLEAN: high-chlorine alkaline cleaner for organic soil removal
  • CLS CLEAN: equivalent function in the CLS product range
  • STAB AC: stabilized alkaline cleaner with enhanced surface contact performance

Acid descaling (daily or every 2 days given hard water):

  • MS CID: phosphoric acid-based descaler for mineral and milkstone removal
  • CLS CID: equivalent acid descaler in the CLS range
  • STAB AD: stabilized acid descaler
