Capuluna CLEAN RBT: Alkaline Cleaner for Robotic Milking Systems
Cleaning Chemistry Purpose-Built for Robotic Milking
Robotic milking systems, also known as Automatic Milking Systems (AMS), introduce distinct cleaning requirements compared to conventional parlor installations. The robotic arm, teat cup units, milk lines, and sensor components run continuous cycles across all hours of the day with no scheduled milking break. Cleaning must therefore integrate into the automated cycle without disrupting milking throughput, and the chemistry must be compatible with the materials, sensors, and control systems of the robotic installation.
Capuluna CLEAN RBT is an alkaline cleaner formulated specifically for these conditions. It is designed for the automated cleaning cycles built into robotic milking platforms, where chemical dosing, water volume, and cycle timing are controlled by the AMS software rather than by operator manual processes.
Key Formulation Considerations for Robotic Applications
Several characteristics separate a robotic-compatible alkaline cleaner from a standard CIP product:
- Low foaming: robotic cleaning cycles often use lower water volumes than conventional CIP. A high-foaming formula can interfere with pump performance and sensor accuracy. Capuluna CLEAN RBT is formulated for controlled, low-foam performance in these tight-volume cycles.
- Material compatibility: robotic units contain rubber teats, synthetic liners, and electronic sensor components that differ from the rubber seals and stainless steel of a conventional parlor. The product must be safe across these materials at the use concentrations and temperatures typical in AMS cycles.
- Concentrated format: AMS systems dose cleaning products from concentrated storage into the cleaning circuit. The product is formulated as a concentrate for direct compatibility with AMS dosing hardware.
Integration with the Robotic Hygiene System
Capuluna CLEAN RBT handles the alkaline cleaning function in the robotic unit. For teat and udder hygiene in the robotic milking context, Vilnus LA DP RBT provides the post-milking teat dip formulated for robotic automatic dipping units, and Vilnus F100 AC RBT covers the film-forming post-dip option for robotic application.
For conventional parlor alkaline milking system cleaning, MS CLEAN and CLS CLEAN serve the same cleaning function outside the robotic context.
